This is definitely an opportunity to bring in more business. But you have to be careful that your new brand isn’t a rip-off of another company’s brand. Apparently, it’s possible to say Bonvoy for all kinds of things: But anyway, the rebrand also discontinued three separate apps and updated the Marriott one.
Overall, the app update hasn’t been bad and even customer-focused. This app is great so far. I’ve enjoyed using it.

The chat function rocks!
I’m not sure how many people are paying attention to you, but I’m pretty sure they’re looking. I used it twice, first when I was in Barcelona at the ibtm conference. I needed cash. You asked them to convert the money to Euros for you.
I didn’t notice it until later when I got back to the house. The second time I went to speak at the ContentTech Summit was when I stayed at the Marriot Marquis in San Diego while speaking there at the ContentTech Summit.
While on a flight from Chicago to San Diego, I messaged the San Diego hotel. I asked if you have an airport shuttle. The answer is that they don’t. I called a Lyft. I messaged them three more times. Because I’m a sun lover, I love the view from their beautiful balcony.

When I order Jimmy John’s in the office in downtown Cedar Rapids I often order online, pay with Apple Pay and often they beat the receipt email with their delivery. The Bonvoy app is freaking fast. It’ll do everything except take your credit card. At least it did at the San Diego hotel.

This service makes your order super convenient. You can easily make choices in the menu just like at many other restaurants. One downside is that you cannot order alcoholic beverages through the app.
Other than that it was great to see this improvement. The app also alerted me that this service was available in San Diego, which I mentioned in my Instagram Story for the day. The next time I’m in Pittsburgh, I will stay at the Sheraton hotel, which offers valet parking.

To get people using your app, you have to make it easier for them to do what they’re trying to achieve, and features will help you do that.
I like that these two new features do that, too. And it’s great to see their addition to Kindle. Marriott Bonvoy is a great example of a company that take seriously the importance of brand identity.
Of course, you can also book your stays through the app, check in and use a mobile key at certain properties.
